Among her recent matters, Ms. Brownworth has represented:
- A large financial institution in state and federal actions arising out of the issuance of residential and commercial mortgage-backed securities;
- An investment bank affiliate as the plaintiff in a multi-million dollar action involving the termination of derivative transactions;
- The former chairman and CEO of a multi-billion dollar government contractor in a securities class action in federal court arising out of a municipal billing scandal, obtaining dismissal of all claims; and
- A public college in investigating matters relating to compliance with Title IX.
Ms. Brownworth is a member of the Boston Bar Association.
Prior to joining Goodwin, Ms. Brownworth was a staff attorney at the Volunteer Lawyers Project of the Boston Bar Association.
While attending law school, Ms. Brownworth was the managing editor of the Duke Journal of Constitutional Law and Public Policy. She received the James S. Bidlake Memorial Award for Excellence in Legal Analysis, Research, and Writing.
