Dr. Burns is a member of the Boston Bar Association.
Professional Experience
Dr. Burns spent a year as a special assistant and clinical trial data manager under the Vice-Chairman of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. In addition, following his doctoral studies, he was the Hellman Fellow in Science and Technology Policy at the American Academy of Arts & Sciences where he advanced projects in both the Science and Technology and Global Security project areas.

Service to the Community Award by the Tom Homann LGBT Law Association for co-founding the USD Law Name and Gender-Marker Change Clinic in San Diego, California
