Ms. Chang has experience litigating patents and trade secrets in multiple areas of technology, and has participated in all phases of patent litigation, including pre-suit investigations, fact and expert discovery, bench and jury trials in federal district courts, and appeals. Some of her representative matters include:
- Counsel for petitioner seeking inter partes review of antibody patent; IPR was instituted, and the case successfully settled before trial.
- Counsel for defendant in contempt damages proceeding; the Court rejected plaintiff’s damages theory and awarded damages in line with defendant’s positions.
- Counsel for defendant generic pharmaceutical company in Hatch-Waxman suit relating to patents on the use of a small molecule cancer drug.
Ms. Chang is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) and the Asian American Bar Association of NY (AABANY).
