Brian Cook, an associate in the firm's Business Litigation Group, focuses his practice on complex commercial and real estate disputes. He has represented a variety of clients in contract disputes including those arising under partnership, hotel management, merger, and a variety of other forms of agreement. He also has significant experience representing clients in complex litigation matters, including unfair competition and false advertising actions and consumer class actions. Mr. Cook also regularly advises clients on the formation of agreements to arbitrate and other dispute resolution agreements as well as litigation avoidance. He joined Goodwin in 2011.
In 2015, Mr. Cook served as a Special Assistant District Attorney for Middlesex County, Massachusetts. In that capacity, he prosecuted felony and misdemeanor crimes, including over a dozen bench and jury trials to final verdict as well as arguing numerous dispositive and evidentiary motions.
While attending law school, Mr. Cook was the Managing Editor of the “Annual Review of Criminal Procedure,” a publication of the Georgetown Law Journal.
