Josh Cook is a partner in Goodwin’s Technology group. Mr. Cook specializes in the representation of emerging growth companies, venture capital firms and private equity investment funds. Mr. Cook’s work with companies spans the entire corporate life cycle, including strategic decisions and coaching prior to incorporation, prospective investor introductions, general corporate representation and counseling, venture capital financings, employment matters, commercial contracts, public offerings, and mergers and acquisitions.
Mr. Cook represents a wide variety of technology companies from consumer internet, software, blockchain, and entertainment technology industries, as well as a number of leading incubators, seed funds and venture capital firms. A recognized expert on early stage venture capital, Mr. Cook frequently speaks on trends and practices in angel and venture capital investing. Prior to joining Goodwin in 2018, Mr. Cook was a partner in the Corporate and Securities group and leader of the San Francisco office at Gunderson Dettmer.
Mr. Cook has been selected for inclusion in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business. Mr. Cook was recommended in the 2015 Legal 500 rankings in venture capital firms and emerging companies.
