Prior to attending law school, Ms. Duffy worked in the art world as the web editor of a contemporary art publication in New York.
Sophie Duffy is an associate in Goodwin’s employment practice. Ms. Duffy has experience helping clients with discrimination and retaliation claims, Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN) matters, FMLA claims, corporate investigations, and whistleblower claims, among others. She also regularly advises on the labor and employment aspects of mergers and acquisitions. Ms. Duffy also advises and advocates for clients in traditional labor disputes and has experience before the National Labor Relations Board.
Ms. Duffy joined Goodwin in 2019 after working in the labor and employment departments of a large global law firm and a top regional law firm.
Ms. Duffy is admitted to practice in New York, Vermont and New Hampshire only; her application to the Massachusetts bar is pending. She is working under the supervision of the partners at Goodwin.
