Ali Elkhalil is an associate in the firm’s Business Law Department and a member of its Private Equity group. Mr. Elkhalil’s practice focuses primarily on mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital investments, and other general corporate matters in a broad range of industries. Specifically, he has experience representing corporate strategic, search fund and private equity clients in structuring, negotiating, documenting and closing private mergers, acquisitions, and dispositions, including assisting private equity funds with the purchase, ongoing representation and sale of portfolio companies.

Mr. Elkhalil is admitted to practice in Georgia and the District of Columbia.

Professional Experience

Prior to joining Goodwin, Mr. Elkhalil was an associate in the Atlanta office of Troutman Pepper Hamilton Sanders LLP, where he represented public and private companies in connection with corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, securities regulation, and general corporate law.

While attending law school, Mr. Elkhalil served as managing editor for the Emory International Law Review.

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Elkhalil received his B.B.A in marketing and played on the varsity men’s soccer team at Georgia State University.
