Amy Francis

Amy Francis is an associate in Goodwin’s Tax practice. Amy advises on all aspects of UK and international taxation, with particular emphasis on real estate, corporate, and financial transactions. Prior to joining Goodwin in 2019, Amy was an associate at Jones Day.

Amy has experience advising on the structuring, negotiation, and funding of M&A and private equity transactions, and her practice extends to advising management on their investment, incentive, and exit arrangements. Amy’s real estate experience includes both the direct and indirect tax aspects of property transactions, having advised on a broad range of acquisitions, disposals, and reorganisations across multiple jurisdictions.

• Advised Clarion Partners Europe (European real estate investment fund manager) on the sale to Dream Industrial REIT (an open-ended real estate investment trust listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange) of a corporate structure holding a portfolio of 31 institutional quality logistics assets across Germany, Holland, France, Spain, Slovakia and the Czech Republic for a consideration valuing the properties at over €880 million
• Mayfair Equity Partners and its portfolio company, Parcel2Go, in its agreement with EQT Private Equity in which EQT will acquire a majority stake in Parcel2Go.
