Jonathan Grippo is a counsel in the Real Estate Industry group at Goodwin. Mr. Grippo handles all aspects of a diverse construction transactional and litigation practice. Mr. Grippo’s practice focuses on construction and design documents associated with private and public development and redevelopment projects on behalf of owners, lenders, design professionals and construction professionals.

Mr. Grippo has extensive experience working on a range of construction projects, spanning across many types of facilities used in many commercial industries and residential development. Mr. Grippo also provides litigation support to many clients and has experience resolving disputes and dealing with claims in court and ADR proceedings. This experience allows Mr. Grippo to mitigate risks and manage potential disputes on behalf of clients and other stakeholders.

Experience

Mr. Grippo’s representative matters include:

  • Represented a wellness facility owner and operator on the construction of a 74,000 square foot wellness facility located in New York City;
  • Construction counsel for the design and construction of a one-of-its kind museum in Washington, DC;
  • Construction counsel for a senior citizen care facility operator with facilities located throughout the United States;
  • Construction counsel for a large, publicly traded asset management company with over $32 billion in assets under management;
  • Represented a large social media company in connection with the build-out of various of its offices;
  • Successfully secured access to neighbor’s property in connection with a multi-million dollar multi-family construction project in New York City;
  • Successfully defended a multi-million dollar litigation brought by condominium unit owners against a large multi-family developer;
  • Represented a large privately owned real estate investment and development company with 8 million square feet of office space throughout the United States in connection with design and construction of various of its assets.
