Prior to joining Goodwin, Ms. Kang was a student attorney of the International Transactions Clinic at New York University School of Law. Under the supervision of licensed attorneys, she advised clients on business transactions including debt financing and cross-border merger and acquisition. Her clients were mainly impact investors who focus on conducting business in the less developed countries and areas for the purpose of serving the least privileged communities across the globe.
Ms. Kang has extensive internship experience in both the public and private sector. She worked at several prominent law firms in Asia, a federal district court, as well as United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
Ms. Kang is a native speaker of Mandarin and an English-to-Chinese book translator with published work. She has obtained a law degree equivalent to J.D. in China. Ms. Kang is also proficient in Japanese.
