Allyson Maur represents biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, digital health, telehealth and other life sciences and healthcare clients on privacy and data security matters including collection, use, storage, and transfer of data; commercial partnerships, SaaS clinical trial agreements and informed consent, and other agreements. Ms. Maur also provides privacy support in agreement drafting and negotiation, and negotiation and due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and private equity transactions, and public offerings. In addition, Ms. Maur advises clients on GINA, HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA, CAN-SPAM, TCPA, PCI-DSS, and FTC breach notification requirements among other state, federal and international regulations. She also provides HIPAA breach analysis, response, and reporting, and drafts website terms of service, privacy policies, cookie policies, and privacy compliance programs.
Ms. Maur has experience representing hospitals and health systems, academic medical centers, physician and other licensed medical professional practices, clinical labs, direct-to-consumer genetic testing companies, nonprofits, and financial institutions. In the healthcare space, Ms. Maur provides healthcare regulatory and privacy support in agreement drafting and negotiation, and negotiation and due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and private equity transactions, and public offerings. Ms. Maur’s practice focuses on assisting these clients with state and federal privacy issues and analysis related to compliance with the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark law, HIPAA, GINA, GDPR, CCPA, CAN-SPAM and TCPA compliance, laboratory-developed test regulations, as well as drafting terms of use, privacy policies, and privacy and healthcare compliance programs, both patient-facing and internal.
