Qing Nian, a partner in Goodwin’s Technology + Life Sciences Group, focuses her practice on corporate and securities law. She represents public and private companies, venture capital and private equity firms, and investment banks in capital markets transactions, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financings, SEC reporting, and other general corporate and securities matters. Ms. Nian advises companies through every stage of the corporate lifecycle – from initial financing through successful initial public offering or acquisition.

Prior to joining Goodwin in 2010, Ms. Nian was a Public Interest Fellow at Medical-Legal Partnership | Boston, where she provided pro bono legal services to low-income families.

While attending Washington University in St. Louis, Ms. Nian was a McDonnell Scholar at the McDonnell International Scholars Academy.

  • Explorica in its sale to WorldStrides
  • Fleetmatics in its $2.4 billion sale to Verizon
  • Galapagos in its $275 million global offering and U.S. IPO
  • Hillhouse Capital in its various investments
  • Neos Therapeutics in its $75 million IPO
  • TA Associates in its investments in the U.S. and China
  • TripAdvisor in a range of securities law matters and acquisitions
  • UniFirst Corporation in a range of securities law matters and acquisitions
  • Zafgen in its IPO and follow-on offering
