Stella Padilla is an associate in Goodwin’s Complex Litigation & Dispute Resolution, Financial Industry Litigation and Consumer Financial Services Litigation practices. Her practice focuses on the representation of financial services institutions in litigation matters, including class action litigation and enforcement actions brought by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and state attorneys general.
Ms. Padilla has defended leading financial services institutions against a variety of consumer cases, including class action claims for contractual breaches, unfair and deceptive trade practices under state statutes and under the Consumer Financial Protection Act, and violations of the Truth in Lending Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act.
She speaks fluent Spanish and is an intermediate reader and writer in the language.
