Jacob Panangat

Jacob Panangat is an associate in the firm’s Life Sciences group. His practice focuses on patent prosecution and technology counseling, with an emphasis on the medical device industry. Jacob works with clients to develop their intellectual property portfolios, which includes routinely preparing and prosecuting patent applications before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and conducting patentability, freedom-to-operate, and patent validity analyses.

Jacob developed intellectual property portfolios in the medical device, pharmaceutical, and software technological spaces, which include extensive experience with surgical devices, and drug delivery devices.

Prior to joining Goodwin, Jacob an associate at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich Rosati, and previously an Associate at Tsircou Intellectual Property Law. Jacob worked in the Oil Industry as an Engineer for nearly ten years prior to working as an associate.
