Priya D. Patel is a counsel in the firm’s Business Law Department and a member of the Technology group.

Ms. Patel provides general corporate representation for emerging growth companies and counsels clients on startup and formation matters, corporate governance and venture capital financings. Ms. Patel represents public and private companies in all aspects of corporate transactions, including private equity investments, strategic alliances and financings, and mergers and acquisitions.

Prior to joining Goodwin, Ms. Patel was an associate in the New York office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP.

Ms. Patel served as a law clerk to the Honorable Samuel H. Mays, Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee.

While attending law school, Ms. Patel was a senior editor for the University of Pennsylvania Journal of Business Law.

She is also a trusted advisor to venture capital funds investing in seed stage through pre-IPO emerging growth companies.
