Ajay Pathak

 Ajay Pathak is a partner in Goodwin’s Private Equity group. Mr. Pathak’s practice focuses on the establishment, management and regulation of private equity funds, venture funds, credit funds, infrastructure funds, hedge funds, and other alternative investment funds. He has established a number of funds, managed accounts, and other bespoke investment structures, including open-ended and hybrid structures, across a range of asset classes.

He also advises on secondaries, GP stake sales, spin-outs, establishment of new asset management businesses, seeding arrangements, joint ventures, partnership matters, co-investment arrangements, and incentive schemes.

• Abingworth on the establishment of Abingworth Bioventures Fund 8 and Abingworth Clinical Co-Development Fund 2
• Abingworth on its acquisition by The Carlye Group 
• Cordet Capital Partners on the formation of Cordet Direct Lending Fund II
• Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (MIRA) on the establishment of Macquarie Green Investment Group Renewable Energy Fund 2 (MGREF2) 
• UBS on the establishment of several of its STRIPE products
• Epidarex Capital Partners on the establishment of Epidarex Capital III 
• ETF Partners on the establishment of Environmental Technologies Fund II
• Sofinnova on the establishment of Synergy Fund I 
• Amber Infrastructure on the establishment of a separately managed account and other investment vehicles focused on infrastructure opportunities
• Capital Z Partners on the establishment of Capital Z (Fidelis) LP and Capital Z (Riverside) LP
• LGT Private Debt on various of its credit fund products
• Low Carbon Management on the establishment of VLC Renewables Fund
• Triton Investment Management on the establishment of Triton Value Fund
• Aberdeen Standard in connection with a GP-led secondary transaction relating to certain legacy funds
• UBS on the establishment of a $500 million oncology impact fund*
• U.K. Green Investment Bank on the establishment of its U.K. Offshore Wind Fund *

Mr. Pathak was seconded to Pershing Securities Ltd (affiliate of BNY Mellon) where he was responsible for managing the European in-house legal function, London, 2003-2005.
