Mr. Powers has extensive experience representing private equity and venture capital funds in connection with early and later staged investments, buyouts and leveraged recapitalizations. He also has extensive experience representing public and private companies on a wide variety of matters, including mergers, acquisitions and corporate finance transactions, as well as advising on business, corporate governance and securities laws matters. Mr. Powers regularly advises a variety of companies in industries including software and other information technology, information services, telecommunications, healthcare, manufacturing and retail.
Mr. Powers acts as counsel to boards of directors in connection with various corporate governance and fiduciary matters. He also has extensive experience in representing companies on intellectual property issues and technology license, development and distribution arrangements.
Mr. Powers is a frequent speaker on corporate finance and private equity matters for various events and organizations, including Harvard Business School’s Venture Capital and Private Equity Conference and the Association for Corporate Growth (Boston). Mr. Powers recently served as a member of the Board of Directors of ACG's Boston Chapter and as a member of the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement of Eastern Massachusetts.
