David Sackstein is an associate in the firm’s Life Sciences group in the Intellectual Property Transactions and Strategies practice. Mr. Sackstein advises clients on the various intellectual property and commercial transactions related to mobilizing and establishing emerging technologies and therapeutics, including matters related to licensing, clinical trials, research collaborations, sponsored research initiatives, and supply, manufacturing, and distribution arrangements. He additionally supports clients throughout their corporate lifecycles in matters related to intellectual property in the context of financings, mergers and acquisitions, asset sales, and public offerings.

Professional Experience

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Sackstein was an associate in Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati’s Technology Transactions practice and has previously worked in biomedical research laboratories, community-oriented non-profit organizations, and on political campaigns. While in law school, Mr. Sackstein was a member of the Submissions Committee for the Harvard Journal of Law and Technology, worked on legal issues relating to racial biases in predictive algorithms at the Berkman Klein Center’s Cyberlaw Clinic, and served as President of the Harvard Law School Democrats.
