Ilana Saltz

Ilana Saltz is an associate in Goodwin’s Complex Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice, primarily focusing her practice on the litigation of commercial and corporate disputes. Ilana has experience representing pharmaceutical and life sciences companies in matters including complex business and intellectual property disputes. She is a contributor to Goodwin's Securities Snapshot, a bi-weekly newsletter highlighting news from the civil and criminal securities law arenas. Ilana also has an extensive pro bono practice, focusing primarily on representing individuals in immigration proceedings. Ilana joined Goodwin in 2019.

• Representation of a pharmaceutical company in an international arbitration relating to a contract dispute over the manufacture and sale of a sterile drug product
• Representation of a company and its employment benefits committee in an ERISA class action challenging the company’s use of an investment consultant’s proprietary funds in its retirement plan
• Representation of a pharmaceutical company in Hatch-Waxman patent litigation involving a generic formulation of a pharmaceutical drug product
• Representation of a pharmaceutical company in several related matters regarding the tax classification of litigation expenses
• Representation of a medical practice in several contract- and employment- related disputes with former employees
• Representation of multiple individuals throughout immigration proceedings in the Executive Office of Immigration Review, the Board of Immigration Appeals, United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, and the Fifth Circuit

Ilana previously served as an articles editor for the University of Pennsylvania Journal of Constitutional Law. While at Penn Law, she directed the School Discipline Advocacy Service. Prior to attending law school, Ilana was a biology teacher in New York and Colombia.
