Margaret Stratton is an associate in the firm’s Business Law department and a member of its Private Equity group. She joined the firm in 2020.

Margaret’s practice focuses on mergers, acquisitions, private equity investments, and other corporate matters in a wide range of industries. Specifically, she has experience representing private equity sponsors in structuring, negotiating, documenting and closing, mergers, acquisitions and dispositions, including assisting private equity funds with the purchase, ongoing representation and sale of portfolio companies. Her practice also includes advising search fund entrepreneurs with the formation, acquisition, and ongoing governance of their search fund companies.

Recognition & Awards

Margaret graduated first in her class at Suffolk University Law School in 2020, where she was awarded the Daniel J. Fern Award and Outstanding Student Award. While in law school, Margaret served as the Editor-in-Chief for the Suffolk University Law Review. Margaret was also a member of Suffolk Law’s Irving R. Kaufman Memorial Securities Law Moot Court Team, where her team won best brief and second place overall after arguing in front of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Alito and other federal judges.
