Ms. White was a law clerk at Goodwin with the IPTS group during the 2018-2019 school year and a summer associate at Goodwin in 2018. She was also a summer associate at Cooley in 2017.
Prior to attending law school, Ms. White was a Patent Agent at the San Diego Office of Morrison Foerster. Her practice focused on prosecution of U.S. and foreign patent applications in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and other life sciences industries. She has experience in U.S. and foreign patent drafting, patent due diligence assessments, and patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses.
During law school, Ms. White was Vice President of Operations for the Harvard Law Entrepreneurship Project, a fellow in the Harvard Law Science & Technology Program, and contributed to the Harvard Law Journal of Law and Technology.
During graduate school, Ms. White was involved in the HHMI Med-Into-Grad Initiative and the Pharmacological Sciences Training Program.
Ms. White received a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from the University of California, San Diego. Her graduate and post-doctoral research included investigation of the role of nutrient availability and exercise in the regulation of muscle metabolism, including insulin sensitivity and signaling, gene expression, energy metabolism, and mitochondrial bioenergetics.
Prior to attending graduate school, Ms. White worked as a biologist at Merck & Co. with a particular focus on lead-optimization pharmacology in metabolic disorders. There, she performed preclinical research and drug discovery for obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular programs.
