While attending law school, Ms. Winey interned at the Department of Homeland Security for the Office of the Principal Legal Advisor. On campus, she partnered with If/When/How National and the ACLU to lead an extensive pro bono project which culminated in the creation of judicial bypass training materials for Virginia attorneys. Additionally, Ms. Winey served as Attorney General for the Georgetown Student Bar Association, as well as Online Editor for the Georgetown Journal of Gender and the Law.
Prior to attending law school, Ms. Winey was a Corporate Legal Specialist at Gensler in New York City, where she primarily worked in risk management and legal compliance within the firm’s photography department.
