Prior to joining Goodwin, Dr. Zheng was an associate at Munger, Tolles & Olson where he focused on intellectual property litigation and strategic counseling representing biopharmaceutical client and research institutions.
After law school, Dr. Zheng was a judicial law clerk for Judge Jimmie Reyna at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington, DC.
Prior to law school, Dr. Zheng spent more than a decade in biomedical research and drug discovery. He was Lecturer on Medicine at Harvard Medical School and held a concurrent appointment as Principal Scientist at the Cardiology Division of Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Dr. Zheng was also a co-founder of the Center for Interdisciplinary Cardiovascular Sciences, a joint venture between Brigham/Harvard and Kowa Company Ltd. (Japan). In addition to his scientific expertise, Dr. Zheng also had experience prosecuting patent applications in the areas of biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and chemical arts.
