Gil Menna, chair of Goodwin Procter’s Real Estate and Capital Markets Group and co-chair of the firm’s REITs Practice, was recently interviewed in a video with REIT.com where he discussed the unique characteristics of REITs controlled by private equity firm The Blackstone Group.
Menna was interviewed at REITWorld 2013: NAREIT’s Annual Convention for All Things REIT at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis. He also discussed the possibility of more controlled company initial public offerings (IPOs) in the near term and potential avenues for REITs to acquire capital outside of the traditional routes.
