Global Trade – Mid-Level Associate

Job Details

Goodwin seeks a highly qualified mid-level Associate with 1 - 3 years of experience to join our Global Trade practice. The candidate should have experience counseling clients on a broad range of U.S. regulatory issues involving international trade, including exports of controlled goods and services, defense articles and services, and transactions involving sanctioned countries, persons, and entities. The ideal candidate will have experience advising clients (ideally in the technology, life sciences and private equity industries) regarding the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and economic sanctions administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). As a bonus, the ideal candidate would also have experience advising on cross-border investments and the regulations administered by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS).

Candidates applying for associate positions with Goodwin should have outstanding academic credentials, comparable law firm experience, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Relevant bar admission (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly) required.
