Life Sciences Licensing – Fluency in Mandarin

Goodwin seeks a highly qualified licensing mid-level associate with 3-5 years of experience to join our Life Sciences group. Fluency in Mandarin is required, and experience working in Asia is strongly preferred.

Candidates should have experience in intellectual property licensing, technology transfer, and other technology transactions as well as in IP support (including intellectual property and technology transaction due diligence) of corporate transactions in the life sciences arena. Candidates should also have experience in some or all of the following: drafting and negotiating intellectual property licenses (including patent and trademark licenses); joint development, collaboration, and other strategic alliance agreements; technology licenses and services agreements (including software-as-a-service agreements); and distribution agreements, as well as performing intellectual property and technology transaction due diligence for corporate transactions and technology transfers.

Candidates must have general experience both working in teams and in managing substantial components of transactions independently, along with outstanding academic credentials, comparable law firm experience, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Relevant bar admission (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly) required.
