Tuesday Associate Business Development Session

The Client Development team will be hosting a session directly after the REI Retreat for any non-Partner/Counsel lawyers in the REI business unit. This session will take place on Tuesday, June 14 from 10:00 – 11:15 am EST on the 9th floor Boston conference center. We will begin the session by discussing the elements of defining and embracing your personal brand, as well as the differences between traditional marketing vs. client development. We will then be joined by panelists, Ben Hittman, Nicole Riley and Simon Woodcock who will spend the majority of the session discussing some of their personal experiences and best practices as they’ve successfully grown their career here at the firm. They’ll be answering questions and covering topics ranging from maintaining work-life balance, providing value to clients and colleagues as well as a few helpful hints on things they would have done differently or would encourage others to do in their career.

Business centers

Retreat attendees will be able to use 2 business centers on the 17th floor with secretarial support, laptops, phones and printers. The centers will be located in rooms 17C and 17D. Other conference rooms on the 17th floor and the Training Room 1 (8th Floor) will be available to work in on a first-come first-served basis. Please bring your own laptop and accessories if you anticipate needing to complete a substantial amount of work while at the retreat. Access to electrical charging in the conference center will be limited.

If you need secretarial assistance during the retreat, please submit your requests for help by emailing REIRetreatSupport@goodwinlaw.com. A secretary will respond to you and indicate when the task will be completed and if applicable, where you will be able to locate the completed work product.
