Remembering RBG: A Celebration of the Life & Legacy of Ruth Bader Ginsburg

Women who have a credit card or qualify for a mortgage without being married or having a male signatory owe a debt of thanks to Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

In honor of Women's History Month, Women@Goodwin convened a panel discussion titled Remembering RBG: A Celebration of the Life and Legacy of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, comprised of the late associate justice's former law clerks Devi Rao, Joshua Bone, Kelsi Brown Corkran, and Ruthanne Deutsch, and moderated by Goodwin partner Jaime Santos

“The Justice's legacy was the opposite of the serenity prayer," said Kelsi Brown Corkran. “She didn't accept the things she couldn't change, she changed the things she couldn't accept. She dramatically changed or is primarily responsible for a sea change in the law and the things now that we take for granted — that's it's not acceptable to treat women as inferior in our legal system."

Hear anecdotes from those who were in the room about what Justice Ginsburg was like as a boss, her pre-judicial life as an advocate, strategic brilliance as a litigator in front of the Supreme Court, her work ethic, and family.

This is a not-to-be missed lively, and sometimes hilarious, tribute to one of the most consequential legal minds of the 20th and 21st centuries.
