Financial Times Recognizes Goodwin for New Products and Services in its 2019 Innovative Lawyers Europe Report

Financial Times named Goodwin among the most innovative law firms in its 2019 Innovative Lawyers Europe Report. The publication awarded Goodwin a Commended ranking in the New Products and Services category for the En Bloc security agreement.

Developed by partner and chair of Goodwin’s Frankfurt office, Stephan Kock, and Senior Attorney, Knowledge Management & Engineering, Thomas Rose, En Bloc simplifies the process for German banks to secure syndicated loans. Financial Times described En Bloc as a “matrix of providers and security options [that] provides banks with a complete overview of a credit security package on one page,” which “reduces documentation by 75 percent and cuts errors and duplicative work.”

“We are proud that we have been able to streamline the process for our clients to secure syndicated loans while ensuring full legal protection under the law,” Dr. Kock said. “It is an honor to receive this recognition from Financial Times, and we hope to make En Bloc available to even more clients going forward.”

The final rankings focused on the product’s originality, leadership and overall impact, and were based on interviews with more than 800 leading clients, senior lawyers, executives and legal experts.
