The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, under fire for its response to problems raised by the pandemic, will almost certainly have new leadership under Joe Biden’s administration. Biden’s win probably heralds an uptick in enforcement and a greater focus on fair lending, mortgage servicing, credit reporting, and other issues underscored by the pandemic.
