Goodwin partner Nathan Hagler has been named to Daily Journal’s Top 40 Under 40 in California for 2021. The annual list recognizes the elite young lawyers across the state who have led transformative matters for clients.
Based in San Francisco, Hagler is a member of the firm’s Technology group and M+A/Corporate Governance practice as well as the firm’s PropTech Initiative He has extensive transactional experience, primarily focusing on advising private and public companies and investors on M&A transactions, and also counsels clients on pre-incorporation planning, general corporate representation and counseling, and venture capital financing. His influence extends across numerous industries, including technology, internet, digital media, industrial products, consumer products, apparel, telecommunications, biotechnology, and e-commerce.
Daily Journal highlighted Hagler’s recent work on behalf of cutting-edge clients. In August 2020, he was one of the leaders of a Goodwin team advising financial technology pioneer Kabbage, Inc. during its acquisition by American Express. He also represented robotaxi company Zoox in its acquisition by Amazon, and cloud-based sales tax compliance software provider TaxJar in its planned acquisition by financial services technology company Stripe.
