Goodwin has added Ranan Well as a partner in the firm's Asset Management Transactions practice and Private Equity group in Washington, DC. In an email to Law360 Pulse, Well said he wanted to move his practice to Goodwin because of its "globally recognized" groups and collegial environment. "The opportunity to continue to develop my practice within that platform – and to play a significant role in the continued growth of the firm's asset management transactions practice – is very appealing," he said. Well said he enjoyed the complicated nature of his asset management transaction work, as they included regulatory issues that often complicate deals. He also said he enjoyed learning from clients on transactions. "There are so many different types of participants in asset management transactions with so many different types of clients, products and strategies, that I find that I learn something new in each transaction," he said.
