Goodwin said Monday that it has hired a head of leveraged finance to strengthen its growing private equity practice in London. The law firm has snapped up Matthew Ayre as a partner. He will join more than 80 lawyers Goodwin now has working in private equity in the U.K. Yash Rana, co-chair of the global Private Equity practice at Goodwin, said in a statement that "[Ayre's] deep experience in Debt Finance, his commercial insight and his long-standing relationships with private equity clients make him an ideal addition to our team here at Goodwin." Carl Bradshaw, a partner in Goodwin's Private Equity practice in London, said in a statement that the firm remains focused on "attracting market-leading talent to support our clients across the full investment life cycle.
