Goodwin, Seeing Revenue Growth, Leans Into Sector Strategy (Law.com)

Goodwin is making a wager that the future of Big Law lies in specialization and expertise in chosen sectors. As part of the firm's strategy, Goodwin says it will continue leaning into priority industry sectors, including technology, healthcare and private equity. But for firm chair Anthony McCusker, the fiscal year figures are evidence the firm is seeing strong returns in 2025. “It validates what we believe is the future of law firms: Elite law firms that are purpose-built for the industries they serve," he said. Goodwin’s partnership elected Josh Klatzkin, co-chair of the firm’s business law department and a partner in the firm’s Private Equity practice, to succeed him. “This is Goodwin's moment,” Klatzkin said in a statement. “We have a clear strategy, exceptional talent, and powerful momentum, thanks in large part to Mark’s exceptional management over the years. I am thrilled to work closely with Mark over the next year, and to help lead this firm starting in October 2026.”
