The Technology team advised Shellworks, a company pioneering compostable alternatives to plastic packaging, on its $15 million Series A financing. The round was led by Alter Equity, with participation from NFDG, JamJar Investments, and existing investors. The funding will support Shellworks’ continued growth and infrastructure development to bring its proprietary material, Vivomer, to mass market scale.
Shellworks has developed a Vivomer, a 100% compostable material that enables brands to move beyond plastic, without compromising on performance, aesthetics, or sustainability. Ideal for unrecyclables, Vivomer offers the function of plastic without the waste. Better for health, better for the planet.
The Goodwin team was led by David Brekke, Andre Coronado, Daisy Ramos Garcia and Chalaun Lomax.
