Megan Bettles

Megan Bettles is an associate in Goodwin’s Litigation department, where she represents clients in intellectual property, trade secret, and complex commercial disputes. Her practice focuses on litigation involving technology companies, consumer products, and emerging businesses. She joined Goodwin in 2019.

Megan’s representative matters include:

• Represents clients in trade secret litigation involving technology platforms and confidential business information.
• Represents companies in copyright and intellectual property disputes involving consumer-facing products and digital content.
• Represents clients in complex commercial and contract disputes across a variety of industries.
• Advises clients on intellectual property risk analysis and due diligence matters.
• Maintains an active pro bono practice supporting civil rights and public interest litigation.

While attending law school, Megan served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Charles R. Breyer of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. Megan was also a senior notes editor for the Hastings Constitutional Law Quarterly, a member of Hastings’ moot court team, and the president of the Hastings Health Law Organization. In recognition of the pro bono services she delivered throughout law school, she was inducted into Hastings’ Pro Bono Society.

Prior to law school, Megan worked as a business systems analyst at a Fortune 500 medical device company, where she gained experience with technology systems and business operations that inform her litigation practice.
