Sam Bhat is an associate in the firm’s litigation department. His practice focuses on government and internal corporate investigations, complex business litigation, and securities litigation. - Representing multiple former employes in DOJ and FTC investigations of a telehealth company’s prescribing and marketing practices related to controlled substances
- Representing a doctor who served as a consultant to a medical device manufacturer in a DOJ Anti-Kickback Statute investigation
- Representing former executives of technology company in an SEC investigation and securities class action
- Representing a financial services company in an SEC investigation where the SEC declined to bring charges against the company
- Representing a financial services company in an internal investigation and subsequent litigation regarding alleged embezzlement and misappropriation
- Defending executives of healthcare software company in breach of contract and tortious interference action
- Representing a healthcare software company in a breach of contract and tortious interference action
- Representing an investment firm in commercial litigation involving lien-based fraud in a New York real estate development project
- Representing a healthcare technology company in a post-closing earnout dispute in Delaware state courts
- Defending an asset management company in a breach of contract and tortious interference action that resulted in significant arbitration award for company
Professional Activities
Sam is a member of the New York State Bar Association. In law school, Sam was a fellow at the Dennis J. Block Center for Study of International Business Law and an executive editor for the Brooklyn Journal of International Law. He competed in the Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition and coached in the CPR International Mediation Competition. Sam also served as a judicial intern to the Hon. Paul A. Goetz, New York Supreme Court.
