Ali Elkhalil is counsel in the firm’s Business Law department and a member of its Private Equity group. Ali’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital investments, and general corporate matters across a broad range of industries. Ali has experience representing corporate strategic, search fund, and private equity clients in structuring, negotiating, documenting and closing private mergers, acquisitions, and dispositions, including advising private equity funds in connection with the acquisition, ongoing representation, and sale of portfolio companies.
Professional Experience
Prior to joining Goodwin, Ali was an associate in the Atlanta office of Troutman Pepper Locke LLP, where he represented public and private companies on matters involving corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, securities regulation, and general corporate law.
While attending law school, Ali served as managing editor of the Emory International Law Review.
Prior to attending law school, Ali received his B.B.A. in Marketing and was a member of the varsity men’s soccer team at Georgia State University.
