Brad Hu, PhD, is a science advisor in the firm’s Business Law department and a member of its Life Science Intellectual Property group. He joined Goodwin in 2024.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Prior to joining Goodwin, Dr. Hu received his PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Texas at Austin, where he conducted doctoral research on the total synthesis of type II polyketide natural products by utilizing novel ruthenium-catalyzed [4+2] cycloadditions.
During his time at the University of Texas, he also served as an associate and principal for Jon Brumley Texas Venture Labs, where he assisted entrepreneurs and inventors with fundraising preparation, market analysis and product development.
