Joe Landry is an associate in the firm’s Complex Litigation and Dispute Resolution group and a member of its Appellate and Supreme Court Litigation practice. Joe joined Goodwin in 2025.
Previous Professional Experience
Joe clerked for Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson of the U.S. Supreme Court, Judge James B. Loken of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, and Judge Indira Talwani of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
Joe brings trial and government experience to his appellate practice. For nearly six years, Joe served in the U.S. Department of Labor’s Boston Regional Solicitor’s Office—most recently as a senior trial attorney. There, he handled every stage of trial litigation in federal courts across New England, from pleadings to discovery to dispositive motions to trial. This included serving as one of two lead attorneys on a jury trial that resulted in the largest-ever punitive damage verdict under the OSH Act’s anti-retaliation provision.
Joe graduated first in his class from Columbia Law School, where he was as an Articles Editor on the Columbia Law Review.
