Global law firm Goodwin today announced the addition of Joe Landry and Cassie Snyder as associates to its Appellate and Supreme Court Litigation Practice, further strengthening the firm’s award-winning team.

“We are continuing to build out our appellate capacity with these two exceptional hires, adding to our existing strength and enhancing our ability to represent clients in high-stakes matters at every level of the judiciary,” said Kevin Martin, co-Chair of Goodwin’s Appellate and Supreme Court Litigation Practice.

Joe Landry joins Goodwin this month following clerkships with Goodwin alum Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson of the U.S. Supreme Court, Judge Loken on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, and Judge Talwani of the District of Massachusetts. He will be based in Goodwin’s Boston office and earned his J.D. from Columbia Law School.

Cassie Snyder joined Goodwin in September, after serving as a Trial Attorney at the U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Programs Branch, and as a law clerk for Judge Floyd on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and Judge Jackson of the District of Colorado. She will be based in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office and also earned her J.D. from Columbia Law School.

With their extensive experience at the U.S. Supreme Court and federal appellate levels, Joe and Cassie will further strengthen and expand Goodwin’s Appellate Litigation practice. They will contribute to client matters across complex civil litigation and appellate advocacy, including the development of briefs and arguments before federal, state, and international courts.

“Joe and Cassie bring experience and insight from their time in government and at the Supreme Court, and we are thrilled to welcome them to the team,” added Jaime Santos, co-Chair of Goodwin’s Appellate and Supreme Court Litigation Practice.
