Lauren is an associate in Goodwin Proctor's Complex Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice, with a focus on cannabis regulatory and litigation matters, class action defense, securities litigation, antitrust litigation, and privacy and cybersecurity disputes. Lauren’s practice encompasses representing companies and individuals across the cannabis, technology, and venture capital industries in complex commercial litigation, regulatory compliance, and government investigations.
Lauren’s litigation practice includes defending companies in class action lawsuits involving privacy and cybersecurity, securities, antitrust, business disputes, and consumer protection claims. Additionally, she advises cannabis companies on regulatory compliance enforcement actions, while also representing clients in contract disputes and business litigation with particular emphasis on technology and venture capital matters.
Lauren maintains an active pro bono practice, representing clients in LGBTQ+ rights, prisoner advocacy, immigrant rights, and cannabis clemency matters. She previously served as leader of Boies Schiller’s firmwide LGBTQ+ & Allies Affinity Group and Pro Bono Liaison to the San Francisco Office and currently serves on Goodwin Proctor’s San Francisco’s Pro Bono Committee, demonstrating her commitment to advancing justice and equality through the law.
Lauren also collaborates with other professional staff teams to support firm-wide initiatives relating to attorney development, diversity, engagement, and retention.

Lauren brings a unique perspective to her practice through her prior experience as Federal Policy Counsel at the National LGBTQ Task Force, where she liaised with the White House and federal agencies on policy initiatives and led rapid response efforts for Supreme Court decisions. This policy background, combined with her previous litigation experience at Boies Schiller Flexner LLP, provides clients with strategic insights into both legal and regulatory landscapes.
Before joining Goodwin, Lauren served as an Associate at Boies Schiller Flexner LLP, focusing on data privacy and security, class action, and antitrust litigation. Her diverse background also includes experience as a Summer Fellow at the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office, where she conducted trial work and authored policy proposals on restorative justice, and international legal experience with the United Nations Convention Against Torture and the High Court of Malawi.
Lauren graduated in the top 5% of her class from American University Washington College of Law, where she served as Note and Comment Editor on the Law Review and was elected to the Order of the Coif, the prestigious legal honor society recognizing academic excellence.
