Xavier Leroux is a partner in Goodwin’s Technology and Life Sciences groups.

He focuses on venture capital and growth equity transactions in particular in the technology industry.

He assists start-ups and scale-ups in the long-term throughout the corporate life cycle, from incorporation to exit, in their day-to-day structuring as well as in their capital financing and external growth operations.

Prior to joining Goodwin in 2023, Xavier was a partner at Bird & Bird and previously worked at Dechert.


Xavier’s recent transactions include advising:

  • Alma, the French fintech offering installment and deferred payment solutions for merchants and consumers, in its €115 million Series C financing round backed by Tencent, GR Capital et Roosh Ventures*
  • Aqemia, a next-generation pharmatech company generating one of the world's fastest-growing drug discovery pipeline, in its €30 million Series A financing round*
  • Cardiologs, a French company offering a screening solution for cardiac disorders based on machine learning algorithms, in the context of its acquisition by Philips Healthcare*
  • Exotrail, an end-to-end space mobility operator, in its €54 million Series B financing round*
  • Moon Surgical, a French-American pioneer in collaborative robotics, in its $31.3 million Series A financing as well as in its additional $55.4 million funding to support the continued development and planned commercialization of its Maestro System*
  • CosmiCapital, Karista Newspace fund, in its participation in the €4 million Seed financing of Bfore.AI, the world’s first predictive cybersecurity solution provider*
  • 900.care, a designer of sustainable products for the care industry, in its €6 million Series A financing round*
  • Sofinnova Partners and its e-health fund, Sofinnova Digitial Medecine, in its participation in the €13,8 million Series A financing round of Kiro, the first AI-powered digital health platform for clinical biology in Europe*
  • Underdog, a French startup specialized in reconditioned householf appliances, in its €3,8 million Seed financing*
  • Shift Technology, a provider of artificial intelligence solution analyzing insurance claims and aiming at combating insurance frauds, in its $220 million Series D financing round led by Advent*
  • The shareholders of Invoke, a developer of specialized software for managing financial, tax and regulatory information, in connection with Invoke acquisition by Sagard NewGen and Isai Expansion*
  • Vestiaire Collective, the leading global platform for desirable pre-loved fashion, in its new €178 million (US$210 million) financing round backed by SoftBank Vision Fund 2 and Generation Investment Management*
  • Preligens, a Security & Defence AI software company, in its €20 million Series A financing round*
