Maria Massimo is an associate in the Complex Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice at Goodwin. She started at the firm in 2021.

Professional Experience
Maria focuses her practice on securities litigation, complex commercial litigation, white collar defense, and government and internal investigations. She has worked with clients including public and private companies, real estate investment trusts, boards of directors, committees, and individuals. Maria also has an active pro bono practice, including representing an indigent criminal defendant in a federal matter and representing tenants in housing court matters.
Maria recently participated in a six-month rotation with the Kings County (Brooklyn) District Attorney’s Office, where she served as a special Assistant District Attorney. In that role, she prosecuted numerous felony and misdemeanor cases, which included presentations before the Grand Jury, conducting hearings, investigating cases, negotiating pleas, and preparing trials.
During law school, Maria served as a judicial intern for Magistrate Judge Marianne Bowler at the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, as well as a legal intern for the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Eastern District of New York. She was also teaching assistant for Professor Katherine Young at Boston College Law School, where she assisted with a 1L Contracts course. Additionally, Maria was a Senior Editor for the Boston College Law School Law Review.
