Joseph Powers

Joseph Powers is an associate in the firm’s Technology group, where he specializes in start-up law and full life-cycle services.

He has experience in public M&A transactions, de-SPAC transactions, and venture capital financings, as well as corporate formation, corporate governance and SEC compliance. Joseph joined Goodwin’s New York Office in 2023, represented Goodwin as a secondee at Morgan Stanley’s Global Capital Markets and M&A Investment Banking legal team in 2024, and returned to the New York Office in late 2024.

Prior to joining Goodwin, Joseph served as a Programs and Operations Associate at Start Small Think Big, a nonprofit dedicated to connecting low-income entrepreneurs with legal and financial services. He also has previous experience in entrepreneurship, credit finance, and venture capital.
