Eliza H. Reed

Eliza Reed is a counsel in the firm’s Business Law Department and a member of its Tax group. She primarily works with our real estate clients, and is involved in all aspects of our real estate practice: dirt acquisitions, joint ventures, REITs (both public and private), with a particular emphasis in real estate fund formation.

Ms. Reed has helped structure funds for all types of real estate investors, including non-U.S. investors, foreign sovereigns, and U.S. tax-exempt investors. For many clients she helps with both the tax structuring of their funds and the structuring of the fund’s acquisitions, allowing her to leverage knowledge of their investors and covenants when structuring the deals.

Ms. Reed joined the Goodwin in 2015, and is a member of the Boston Bar Association. While attending law school, Ms. Reed was an articles editor and a member of the selections committee for the Michigan Journal of Gender and Law.
