August Renshaw

August Renshaw is an associate in Goodwin’s Life Sciences group. August focuses his practice on advising life sciences companies at all stages of development on patent and intellectual property matters, including strategic patent counseling and the development and management of global patent portfolios. August works on a variety of therapeutic products, including small molecules, large molecules, and conjugates. He also supports clients on IP due diligence matters in relation to a variety of different transaction types. August joined Goodwin in 2026.

Prior to joining Goodwin, August was an associate and patent agent at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. Before his legal career, August worked at Pfizer La Jolla in a variety of technical areas, including conjugate products and bioprocess development. During graduate school, August worked in a marine natural products lab on the elucidation of structures of novel chemical compounds and on organic synthesis projects.
