Ariel Rogers represents life sciences, healthcare, and technology companies in complex business disputes, including high-stakes arbitrations, class actions, and trials. Ariel advocates for clients in state and federal courts nationwide and has experience successfully representing clients in arbitral proceedings in AAA and JAMS. In addition to her trial practice, Ariel provides clients with business-focused counseling on litigation strategy, negotiations, mediations, and risk avoidance.

Trials & Arbitrations
- Successfully represented a life sciences client in a AAA arbitration, resulting in claimant recovering less than 1% of its claimed damages and client recovering 100% of its counterclaims
- Prevailed on all claims and counterclaims in a JAMS arbitration for a venture capital fund
- Secured a complete defense verdict after a six-week trial before a federal jury in an antitrust “pay for delay” case
- Successfully represented a company in a JAMS arbitration involving breach of contract and fraud claims
Commercial Litigations
- Defended against class actions involving consumer protection, false advertising, and unfair competition
- Achieved dismissal of federal court complaint and compelled plaintiff to pursue claims in arbitration for a life sciences client
- Represented a healthcare company in an earnout dispute in Delaware Chancery Court, eventually resulting in favorable settlement for client
Pro Bono
- Obtained summary judgment ruling for class action plaintiffs in a civil rights impact litigation
- Secured partial summary judgment for class action asylum seekers
- Represented an individual seeking asylum from Afghanistan

Professional Experience
Prior to joining Goodwin in October 2021, Ariel practiced at Latham & Watkins LLP in San Francisco, where she focused on antitrust litigation and regulatory work. Ariel was part of a team that received one of the Top Defense Verdicts of 2020 and Litigation of the Year - Cartel Defense at the Global Competition Review Awards 2021 after winning dismissal in an antitrust class action brought against global automobile manufacturers.
Before becoming a lawyer, Ariel worked at Cisco Systems in the services marketing division where she helped with sales enablement, employee engagement, and market intelligence.

In 2023, Ariel was part of a trial team recognized by The American Lawyer and Law360 for their resounding win in an antitrust “pay for delay” litigation in which a federal jury in San Francisco returned a defense verdict on June 30, 2023 after a six-week trial.
Ariel received the Crystal Award from the Justice & Diversity Center's Federal Pro Bono Project for her work on civil rights cases representing litigants referred to the Federal Pro Bono Project by the Northern District of California.
