Aaron Terwey is counsel in the firm’s Business Law department and a member of its Technology and Life Sciences groups. Aaron has over a decade of experience representing clients in corporate and securities matters, with a primary focus on advising companies in the technology and life sciences sectors throughout their life-cycle, including pre-incorporation planning, general corporate representation and counseling, venture capital financings, corporate governance, joint ventures, and mergers and acquisitions. He also has significant experience representing investors and venture capital firms in their investments into those innovative companies.
Prior to joining Goodwin, Aaron was an early employee and advisor at Atrium, a venture-backed legal technology startup and corporate law firm, and managed the venture practice of a boutique law firm. Aaron began his career as an M&A attorney at Locke Lord LLP.
Outside of Goodwin, Aaron has served on the Board of Directors of Austin Montessori School since 2018, most recently serving as the President (2021-2023) and as a member of Executive Committee (2018-2023) and the Risk Management Team (2021-2023). He previously served as Vice President (2020-2021) and Secretary (2018-2020) and was a member of the Finance Committee (2018-2020).
