William R. Tevlin

William Tevlin is an associate in the Goodwin’s Business Law department and a member of its Private Equity group.

William specializes in representing sponsors and their portfolio companies throughout the entire investment period of large cap and middle-market private equity transactions, including initial investments (both control deals and minority investments), strategic add-on transactions, portfolio company management and exit transactions or other liquidity events. William has extensive experience advising on mergers, stock and asset acquisitions and divestitures, leveraged buyouts, take-privates, capital restructurings and reorganizations, majority and minority investments, shareholder activism and other general corporate or governance matters.

Prior to joining Goodwin, William was an associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins LLP, where he was a member of the M&A and Private Equity practice group. Previously, William also practiced at another leading international law firm in New York. While in law school, William Tevlin was an Articles and Notes Editor and a Res Gestae Editor for the Fordham Law Review.
